DIL Toronto was launched on Aug 14, 2005 at the Nathan Philip Square along side the Pakistan Day celebrations. DIL Canada's cause received an out pour of encouragement from the huge crowd present that day for the festivities.

DIL Toronto's "Raffle" was an enormous success, giving away prizes like round trip airline tickets and "Dinner for Two" prizes.
