To assist DIL Canada - Toronto Chapter in raising much needed funds for co-sponsoring the DIL Community Model School located in Bagh Jogian, Ghora Mast of Islamabad Central Territory (ICT) area, Our Foundation held a fundraising event on Aug 9th 2008, called Hike to Help Educate!

The event, held at Webster's Falls Conservation Area, involved a 4.0 km hike to the scenic Dundas Peak and a delicious BBQ co-sponsored by Maple Lodge Farms - Zahiba Halal and Home Depot Dundas/Mavis store. The event provided an opportunity for Our Foundations member's to socialize and share information and their passion for bringing education to the underprivileged students in Pakistan. The end of an extremely successful day did not only bring with it new friendships and a renewed faith towards ending illiteracy in Pakistan, but it also brought the group closer to achieving their goal of spreading awareness about the cause and reaching their $2,500 dollar goal through the ticket sales.
